::Publications and Resources::
We offer the following products and publications to complement your existing financial education efforts:
- Your Money Matters Guidesare full-color booklets that highlight a variety of money management topics in engaging and relevant ways. We currently offer six different versions and free classroom sets are available upon request, pending available inventory. Self-paced learning modules help users navigate important financial decisions. Each module contains learning objectives, tools, a quiz and a completion certification. PDF versions of the module quizzes and answer keys are available; email OklahomaMoneyMatters@ocap.org to request a copy.
Our current selection explores:
- Budgeting: getting the most out of your money by creating a realistic spending plan.
- Saving & Banking: exploring how to plan for your future, build wealth and find the financial institution that’s right for you.
- Auto Loans: looking beyond the monthly payment to get the best car for your needs.
- Money Management for College Students: making your money work for you while living the college life.
- Transitioning to Independence: learning to successfully navigate your financial life after college.
- Love & Money: protecting your financial future no matter your relationship status.
- Money Talks podcasts are on-the-go resources. Each session is three to five minutes in length and covers topics like financial aid, identity theft prevention, savvy savings strategies and understanding your credit score.
::Train-the-Trainer::
If you prefer to teach your own financial education lessons, take advantage of our train-the-trainer workshops. Sessions are customized to fit your schedule and your target population’s needs. These engaging workshops highlight the nuts and bolts of financial literacy and explore engaging activities that teach.
::Consultation & Planning::
Our staff is available to help you brainstorm, organize and plan a financial literacy initiative for your agency or organization. By bringing key stakeholders together and facilitating discussion, your outreach efforts can be taken to the next level.
::Financial Friday Program::
Financial Friday is a monthly service allowing people to anonymously ask money-related questions and get the answers they need. On the last Friday of each month, we send subscribers an email answering a user-submitted question. You can participate in Financial Friday by signing up to receive and distribute the email to your students or staff. For a more customized experience, we can help you develop website text or an online button to promote the service to your students.
